I wish that men dressed like George Peppard as Paul Varjak in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
I'm going to be honest: I don't understand the whole cult of Audrey Hepburn. I mean, she's totes adorable but there's something that perturbs me about the vulnerability of the characters she portrayed. I object to the notion that needing a caretaker is attractive. In my book, fragility ain't sexy.
Having said that, I wouldn't necessarily mind being taken care of by Paul Varjak.
I mean, look at that skinny tie. Precious.
This flick was made in 1961 and Mr. Varjak's wardrobe - thoughtfully supplied by his "sponsor" - is an endearing mix of boyish cardigans and slim suits. I like the retro touches that aren't over the top.
A stylish dude could wear these duds to work today and not look out of place.
...Of course, it depends on what your job is.

Let's start with a nicely-tailored slim-cut suit in gray. Why? Because, as much as the rebellious hippy in me would like to disagree, all men look fantastic in a perfectly fitted suit.
Even the goofball of a male model above.

Next, a tailored button-down shirt. I chose one with a button collar because I think it looks fancier but whatevs.
